The Rev. Patrick C. Ward, Rector
The Rev. Patrick C. Ward has been a priest in the Episcopal Diocese of Massachusetts since his ordination in 2009. Prior to accepting the call to be the ninth rector of The Church of the Holy Spirit, he served for eleven years at Trinity Church in the City of Boston, where as senior associate rector he oversaw multiple dimensions of parish life including liturgy, pastoral care, Christian formation and outreach. Patrick began his ordained ministry at St. Anne’s in-the-Fields in Lincoln as assistant rector with a particular focus on youth ministry. He received his B.A. in English and American Literature from Brown University and his Masters in Divinity from the Berkeley Seminary within the Yale Divinity School. In his former career Patrick counseled technology companies on strategic messaging and media relations. He and his partner Roger Lovejoy plan to marry in May, 2023.
