CHS SCHOLARSHIP AWARD:  The Church of the Holy Spirit awards a $1000 scholarship to a deserving senior who attends and contributes to the church. This can be for a collegiate or other school of higher learning.  This year we have a bumper crop of 5 seniors.  The scholarship committee is asking for donations to the fund as all of the seniors are worthy of the award. Please help by sending a check to the church made out to the CHS scholarship fund. Thank you.

CHS FEATURED ART EXHIBIT:  The featured CHS artist for January is the Prayer Shawl Ministry. The lovely shawls we have knitted for parishioners in need of warmth and loving comfort have been a ministry at CHS for years. Each shawl is blessed by the clergy before they’re distributed. Our parish prayer shawls will be on display in the reception room during January. If you want to join our group of knitters please visit the display for more information or contact Sandy Marshall at  508-255-9971 or svm2@comcast.net.

Health Ministry: Health Ministry – January’s tip of the month is COLD and FLU protection!  Minimize your exposure by washing your hands OFTEN, keeping your distance from coughers and sneezers, disinfecting surfaces (faucets, doorknobs, keyboards). Get your flu shot if you haven’t yet. The CDC recommends that everyone 6 months of age and older should get a flu vaccine every season, with rare exception. Check out the tips we’ve posted around the campus this month, take good care of yourselves, and let’s stay cold & flu-free together! Meg Nemitz and Ann Pike-Paris, co-chairs
